TikTok Star Tabitha Swatosh Reveals She’s Been Left Homeless After Her ‘Dream House’ Was Sold Out From Under Her in Moving Nightmare

TikTok star Tabitha Swatosh broke down in tears as she opened up about a moving nightmare that has left her without a place to live.

The 24-year-old, who shot to fame as part of a popular social media collective known as The Hype House, revealed several weeks ago that she is planning to relocate to Nashville, TN.

She and her roommates had opted to end the lease on their Tarzana, CA, home at the end of December, she explained.

Swatosh, who is known online as Tabs, had been sharing a sprawling eight-bedroom, 9.5-bathroom mansion in the Los Angeles suburb with several other online stars, including her boyfriend, Michael Sanzone, and their close friends Alex Warren and Kouvr Annon.

However, after Warren and Annon married in June, they announced that they would be moving into their own marital home in Nashville, with Tabs and their other roommates also opting to move out of their shared home and find their own accommodations.

Tabs has been documenting her moving process in a series of TikTok videos, capturing everything from packing to house hunting.

She had booked her movers to transport all of her belongings “across the country” on Dec. 18, she explains in a recent clip.

However, disaster struck when she discovered that the dream house she had found in Tennessee had been sold out from under her—despite her claiming that she had already put down a deposit and signed a contract with the previous owner.

“I found a house last week that I liked last week in Nashville. It’s nice because it’s not very far from my friends,” she tearfully tells the camera, while sitting in the yard of her rented Tarzana home.

“You’re genuinely just not even going to believe this,” she goes on. “My [real estate agent] and I went to go look at this house, I put my deposit down on my dream house.”

Tabs explains that she asked the owner of the property if she would be able to move into the home earlier than she had initially planned, stating that they agreed she would get the keys on Dec. 23.

However, just five days before that date, with all her boxes loaded onto moving trucks, the social media star was delivered a horrifying blow.

“Today, I am supposed to pack and move across the country,” she says. “And 30 minutes ago, my real estate agent called me, because he said he had bad news. … They sold the house we’re supposed to move into. How is that even possible?”

Breaking down in tears, she then pans the camera to reveal a clip of her moving truck loaded up with her possessions.

“I’m actually so confused. They have my deposit, and in writing. And now my movers are here with nowhere to go,” she says. “I have nowhere to go.”

According to Tabs, the only help the homeowner is offering is to have her belongings sent elsewhere when the truck arrives at the property she was meant to be moving into.

“Relocate where?” she asks. “Where am I supposed to put it?”

At a loss, she has a FaceTime call with her dad while still on video.

“You know how I went to Nashville to look at houses?” she asks her dad. She gives him the update: She had a down payment, an agreement to move.

“All of my movers are here—and, they sold the house,” she says.

“You already put money down on it?” her dad, Matthew Swatosh, asks. “Are you going to get your money back?”

His daughter has more immediate concerns: “How can they just sell the house and leave me stranded? Where’s all my stuff supposed to go?”

Pere Swatosh switches into motivational mode: “Don’t worry about it, this is awesome. This is a f—— story! Look at me. Who are you? This is an opportunity. You’re looking at it all wrong.”

He then insists that she is simply experiencing the ups and downs of adulthood.

“This is real life,” he says. “You’re looking at it from the negative. You’re not looking at it as an opportunity.”

Then he adds, “I am sorry.”

“You being you, I feel for you, but I’m not worried about you,” he adds soothingly, noting that the “worst thing that can happen” is that she ends up staying in a hotel.

Tabs’ shocking news brought plenty of supportive messages from her fans, who posted some 3,790 comments and liked 1.3 million times.

“You dad is amazing,” commented one. “Also … lawyer up immediately.”

Another wrote, “Everything happens for a reason and I can’t wait to see everything work out even better than you imagined!!”

Another added, “Well Alex and Kouvr can have a roommate for a little while.”

According to Realtor.com®, tenants do have rights, and Swatosh should check her rental agreement to see how a house sale affects her rental agreement.

In the comments, the media influencer quickly clarified that her listing agent was just as surprised as she was.

“To clarify, my real estate agent is great. It was the agent of the HOME & homeowners. My agent and I were both shocked with the same news at the same time.”
