Serena Williams’ Real Estate Grand Slams: Inside the Multimillionaire’s Dazzling $30 Million Property Portfolio

Serena Williams has swapped center court for the world stage—becoming the talk of the town with her surprise performance at the 2025 Super Bowl, when she joined rapper Kendrick Lamar onstage as he took aim at rival Drake.
The 43-year-old former Grand Slam winner sparked uproar from Drake’s fans by seemingly aligning herself with Lamar in his ongoing rap battle against the “Hotline Bling” performer—with whom she had a brief romance in 2015.
Williams, who has 23 Grand Slam titles to her name, made a surprise appearance onstage at the Caesars Superdrome in New Orleans toward the end of Lamar’s set, when she began crip walking to his hit “diss track,” “Not Like Us.”
Wearing a bright blue miniskirt and matching jacket, the mother of two appeared in her element as she bopped along to the viral song, doing the same crip walk moves she famously broke out when she won a gold medal at the 2012 Olympics.
Her divisive appearance at the Super Bowl left many of her fans in awe—and proved that she doesn’t need the bright lights of center court or a tennis racket in her hand to make headlines across the globe.
But the spotlight-stealing performance was a world away from the somewhat low-key lifestyle that Williams has been enjoying since stepping off the court for the last time.

In the two and a half years since her final center court appearance at the U.S. Open, Williams has been busy building an incredibly lavish home for her family—or, homes, rather.
Having begun building up her property portfolio early in her career, the on-court champion has since thrown herself into her real estate interests, amassing multiple dwellings along with her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
At the same time as their first daughter, Olympia, was born, the duo made a major move just outside of Miami, snapping up an extraordinary abode that Williams and her sister Venus then set about rebuilding into a property fit for a (tennis) queen.
The high-profile couple continued to buy, sell, and invest in other properties in recent years.
Today, they are understood to reside full time in their Jupiter, FL, home, which was custom-built and features all kinds of high-end amenities, including (of course) a trophy room.
The home marked a major milestone for Williams, not only because it would serve as a primary residence for her growing family, but also because it was the first time she “moved away” from Venus, with whom she has an incredibly close bond.
“I was moving away from Venus for the first time in my life, so I wanted it to be really meaningful,” she said of the home’s redesign during a 2021 interview with Architectural Digest.

Williams snagged a six-bedroom, eight-bedroom Mediterranean mansion north of Miami in 2017 for $5.7 million. The riverfront estate, which is located in a “premium” enclave in Jupiter, was described in its listing as being a “gorgeous custom-built” abode that offered 6,770 square feet of living space.
The gated estate came with more than a half-acre of land and included a private boat dock, heated pool and spa, and private beach access.
While the dwelling had been “newly updated” when Williams purchased it, she proceeded to overhaul it.
Images taken of the home when the tennis pro showed it off in an Architectural Digest spread reveal the extensive transformation she carried out with the help of Venus, who runs her own design firm, V Starr.
Speaking to AD, Williams credited her sister and longtime doubles teammate for helping her to create the perfect home for her family.
“You have to know your lane. I’m really good at playing tennis; I’m not as good at interiors. But I was able to learn through just watching Venus,” she said.
In place of the Mediterranean-style property now sits an ultramodern megamansion that was custom designed for the sports star and her family, including two children.
Unique amenities include an art gallery, a trophy room, and a 620-square-foot closet.
Today, Realtor.com® estimates the property is worth well above $10 million—and that’s without the inclusion of Williams’ extensive updates.
This is not the only Florida home in Williams and Ohanian’s impressive portfolio. In 2020, the couple acquired another property in Jupiter, which was purchased via the same LLC as her first Miami home.

She snapped up the 10,433-square-foot home, which has a own tennis court, for $8 million.
The eight-bedroom seven-bathroom property sits on 4.12 acres and boasts a chef’s kitchen, home theater, entertainment room, and primary suite with a fireplace and private waterfront balcony.
It also features a gym, impact-resistant doors and windows, three-car garage, security system, two emergency generators, and water tanks.
Realtor.com estimates the home is worth upward of $12 million in the current market.
Williams previously had a third property in Jupiter, a 2.4-acre vacant lot, which she listed for $6.5 million in 2017, just three years after purchasing it for $4.12 million in 2014. The lot was sold in May 2018, according to property records.
The buyer of that land used it as the site for an extraordinary megamansion that was built from the ground up—and was designed for “luxury wellbeing,” according to its recent listing.
It was placed on the market in October 2024 for a staggering $58 million and is currently pending sale, the details of which have not yet been made public.
Williams’ West Coast abode
Williams, a Los Angeles native, has owned several trophy homes in Southern California. Although she has shed some of her Golden State holdings, she held on to one posh property in Beverly Hills.
Williams bought the brand-new home in 2017 for $6.68 million. The beautiful five-bedroom abode measures 6,000 square feet.
It features oak flooring, an open floor plan, contemporary finishes, and walls of glass.
Luxe amenities include a gym, wine cellar, and bar. The grassy grounds include a pool and outdoor kitchen.
Williams tested the market in 2021, asking for $7.5 million for the lovely residence. But later in the year, she took the home off the market.

Bye, Bel-Air
Around the time Williams picked up her Beverly Hills abode, she was ready to bid goodbye to her home in the Bel-Air neighborhood.
The elegant seven-bedroom estate spanned 6,101 square feet. Highlights included a semicircular living room, white marble flooring, and glass doors to the gardens.
The property also boasted 2.76 acres, a loggia, and a pool.
Located in the Stone Canyon area, the swell home built in 1935 initially landed on the market for $12 million in 2017, about twice what Williams paid for the place in 2006.
She reduced the price to $10 million after about a year, and the home was eventually sold in 2019 for $8.1 million.
It came back on the market in 2020 and was sold for slightly under $8 million.
Sister Act: Serena and Venus’ shared dwellings

As siblings, Williams and sister Venus played together, competed together, and shared a home.
They purchased an acre of land in BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, with both water and golf course views. They paid $525,000 in 1998. They lived together in the private and secure mansion they built on the parcel.
The triple-gated estate offers 8,000 square feet of living space, with two spacious primary suites with private offices. Luxe amenities include four guest suites and an outdoor living area with a pool and spa, cabana, and kitchen.
The sisters listed the sweet spread for $2,695,000 in 2018. It was sold in early 2019 for $2.3 million.
Williams also owned a home nearby that she bought in 2015 for $2.5 million. The five-bedroom, 5,600-square-foot mansion overlooks a canal and features built-ins, marble floors, and a three-car garage. The 1.25-acre property comes with a pool, spa, and outdoor kitchen.
Property records show she sold the place in 2021 for $2.8 million.
Big action in the Big Apple

The sister act also owned a pied-à-terre in Manhattan. They picked up a 1,800-square-foot, two-bedroom loft in 2006 for $1.3 million.
They listed their crash pad in 2015 and, within months, sold it for $2.1 million. It was slightly over their asking price.
Williams also holds the keys to a two-bedroom apartment in Paris, which she purchased in 2007 during her tennis circuit. The apartment features a cozy fireplace, renovated kitchen, and intimate aesthetic.
Her husband has also jumped into the real estate game. The Reddit co-founder let go of his Brooklyn apartment in 2022 for $2,295,000.
The entrepreneur purchased the unit in 2011 for $1,245,000. It has been on the luxury rental market since 2016 and was most recently available for $7,500 a month.
Located in Brooklyn Heights, the two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit features 1,385 square feet of living space, 13-foot-high ceilings, and oversized windows.
